2.1.2.4) K h o r a i d i - F o r m a t i o n
Die Khoraidi-Formation mit stromatolithenführendem Dolo-
mit ist ebenso wie die folgende Saidi Khola-Formation nicht
flächig im Kartiergebiet vertreten, nur punktuell und un-
sicher an einer Stelle im Kurung Khola-Tal.
Es könnte vielleicht auch das einzige Vorkommen von
Stromatolithen innerhalb der Chappani-Formation bei km H
7.300 zur Khoraidi-Formation gehören, jedoch die Stromato-
lithen dort waren unzugänglich in einigen m Höhe in einer
Steilwand, und das zugängliche Gestein am Weg unten war
grauer Sandstein, wohl aus der Chappani-Formation. Im
Falle, daß dort tatsächlich Khoraidi-Formation über Chap-
pani-Formation läge, müßte es sich um eine tektonische
Erscheinung handeln, denn die Stromatolithen zeigen
überkippte Lagerung an. Bei überkippter Lagerung aber
sollte die jüngere Khoraidi-Formation unter der älteren
Chappani-Formation liegen.
Aufgrund des unsicheren Befundes von nur zwei exotischen
Punkten wurde die Khoraidi-Formation nicht in die Legende
aufgenommen.
2.1.2.5) S a i d i K h o l a - F o r m a t i o n
Die Saidi Khola-Formation, eine Sandstein-Tonschiefer-
Wechsellagerung dürfte wie die Khoraidi-Formation viel-
leicht an einer Stelle im Kurung Khola-Tal punktuell auf-
geschlossen sein bei km C 5.000. Zwischen km C 4.500 und
km C 5.000 folgen verschiedene Schiefer, Sandsteine, Quarz-
ite und Karbonate in mehrfachem Wechsel in kurzen Abstän-
den. Diese dicht gedrängte Folge auf 500 m Strecke er-
scheint wohlgeschichtet, sie fällt nach NW ein und kön-
nte alle Mitglieder der Schichtfolge der Kali Gandaki-
Gruppe enthalten.

The Khoraidi Formation with stromatolithe bearing dolomite
is like the following Saidi Khola Formation not represented
squared in the mapping area, only at one point, and that not
for sure, in the Kurung Khola valley.
Also the only appearence of stromatolithes within the
Chappani Formation at km H 7.300 could belong to the Khoraidi
Formation (see fig. 9), but the stromatolithes there were
not accessible in a height of some metres on a steep wall,
and the accessible rocks down at the way was grey sandstone,
obviously of the Chappani Formation. In the case that there
really Khoraidi Formation rests upon Chappani Formation, it
would be a tectonical phenomenon, because the stromatolithes
show overturned bedding conditions, so that without faulting
the younger one should rest under the older one.
Because this unreliable finding of only two exotic places,
the Khoraidi Formation was not taken up into the legend.
2.1.2.5) S a i d i K h o l a F o r m a t i o n
The Saidi Khola Formation, a sandstone-shale
intercalation, might be exposed like the Khoraidi Formation
at one single place in the Kurung Khola valley at km C 5.000.
Between km C 4.500 and km C 5.000 follow in short intervalls
different slates, sandstones, quarzites and carbonates
confusedly. This narrow sequence of 500 m rests probably well
bedded, dipping to NW and it could contain all members of the
sequence of the Kali Gandaki Supergroup.
